Frequently Asked Questions — Noir Tattoo Cusco

Frequently Asked Questions — Noir Tattoo Cusco

1. Do I need an appointment, or do you accept walk-ins?

We accept walk-ins depending on artist availability. However, if you are only in Cusco for a few days or want a specific artist, we recommend contacting us on WhatsApp in advance.

2. Can I get an appointment today or tomorrow?

Often, yes. Many of our clients are travelers with limited time in Cusco, so we try to accommodate same-day or next-day appointments whenever our schedule allows.

3. How can I book an appointment?

Send us a WhatsApp message with your idea, a reference image, approximate size, body placement, and the dates you are available in Cusco. With that information, we can recommend the right artist and check availability.

4. How much does a tattoo cost at Noir Tattoo Cusco?

The price depends on the size, placement, style, level of detail, color, and artist. Send us your idea, approximate size in centimeters, and body placement so we can provide a quote.

5. Can you give me an approximate price before I book?

Yes. If you send us a visual reference, approximate size, and placement, we can usually provide an estimate before confirming your appointment.

6. What information do you need to give me a tattoo quote?

Please send us:

  • A reference image or description of your idea
  • Approximate size in centimeters
  • Body placement
  • Whether you want black and grey or color
  • Your preferred date or availability
  • If you are traveling, the date you leave Cusco

7. I do not have a finished design. Can you help me create one?

Yes. You do not need to arrive with a final design. You can send us photos, drawings, references, or simply explain your idea, and one of our artists can develop it with you.

8. Can I send a design made with ChatGPT, Pinterest, or another reference image?

Yes. References are a great way to show us what you have in mind. We can use them as a starting point and adapt the composition, proportions, and details to create a design that works well on the body.

9. Can I make changes to the design before getting tattooed?

Yes. We can discuss changes to the elements, size, composition, or placement before the tattoo begins.

10. Can I see the design before my appointment?

It depends on the project and the artist. Some designs may be prepared in advance, while others are finalized or adjusted at the studio so they fit the body correctly. If seeing the design beforehand is important to you, let us know when booking.

11. Can I change the placement or size of the tattoo?

Yes. The size and placement can be reviewed before we begin. We can also print different sizes so you can compare how the design looks on your body.

12. What tattoo size do you recommend?

It depends on the amount of detail and the style. A design that is too small may lose clarity over time, so your artist will recommend a size that allows the tattoo to age well.

13. Can I choose a specific tattoo artist?

Yes. If you have seen the work of Beisi, Ingrid, Luis, or another Noir artist and would like to book specifically with them, let us know and we will check their availability.

14. I do not know which artist to choose. Can you recommend one?

Yes. Our artists specialize in different styles. Send us your tattoo idea and we will recommend the artist whose work best matches what you are looking for.

15. Can I see the artist’s portfolio before booking?

Yes. We can show you previous work, and you can also review our artists’ portfolios before choosing who you would like to work with.

16. Do you do fine line tattoos?

Yes. Fine line is one of the styles we work with at Noir Tattoo Cusco. Depending on your design, we can recommend the artist best suited for delicate lines and fine details.

17. Do you create custom tattoos inspired by Cusco or Peru?

Yes. Many travelers visit Noir looking for a meaningful memory of their time in Peru. We can create designs inspired by the Andes, Cusco, Machu Picchu, mountains, local flora and fauna, and Peruvian iconography.

18. Can you design a tattoo inspired by Machu Picchu or the Inca Trail?

Yes. These projects are very popular with travelers. We can combine elements from your experience, such as mountains, trails, Andean plants, or symbols connected to Peru, to create something personal.

19. Do you have flash tattoos available?

Yes. Our artists have flash designs available, and we can also show you options when you visit the studio. If you want something small and have limited time in Cusco, a flash tattoo can be a great option.

20. How long does a tattoo session take?

It depends on the size, style, placement, and amount of detail. Some small tattoos may take a short session, while more complex pieces may require several hours or more than one session. We can give you an estimate once we see your design.

21. Can two people get tattooed at the same time?

Often, yes. We have several artists working at the studio, so we may be able to arrange simultaneous appointments depending on the date and the styles requested.

22. Do you accept couples or groups of friends?

Yes. We often tattoo couples, friends, and groups traveling together. Send us each person’s idea in advance so we can organize the necessary artists and appointment times.

23. I am only in Cusco for a few days. Can I still get tattooed?

Yes. Many of our clients are travelers with short itineraries. Send us the exact dates you will be in Cusco, and we will try to find the best available appointment for you.

24. Is it better to get tattooed before or after Machu Picchu or a trek?

We generally recommend planning your tattoo around activities such as trekking, prolonged sun exposure, sweating, and other conditions that may affect a fresh tattoo. Tell us your travel itinerary and we can help you choose the best time.

25. Can I get tattooed before traveling to the Amazon?

It is best to tell us your itinerary before booking. Humidity, heat, sun exposure, outdoor activities, and other travel conditions can make the first days of healing more difficult, so it may sometimes be better to schedule your tattoo after certain excursions.

26. Can I fly after getting a tattoo?

In many cases, yes. The important thing is to protect the tattoo properly and follow the aftercare instructions. If you have a flight only a few hours or days after your appointment, let us know so we can advise you accordingly.

27. How should I take care of my tattoo after the session?

At the end of your appointment, we will explain step by step how to clean and protect your tattoo during the healing process. Instructions may vary depending on the placement, the tattoo, and whether second skin is used.

28. When should I remove the second skin?

The timing may vary depending on the tattoo and the type of protective film used. Your artist will tell you exactly when to remove it and what to do afterward. If you have any questions during healing, you can contact us on WhatsApp.

29. Do you accept cash and card payments?

Yes, we offer different payment options. If you prefer to pay by card, cash, or need to arrange payment as an international traveler, ask us when booking and we will let you know the available options.

30. Where is Noir Tattoo Cusco, and how do I find the entrance?
